We're currently working on a new iPhone app. Before firing up Photoshop to start on the artwork, we decided to take a peek at the top iPhone apps for inspiration as well as to check out the latest trends.

Using the iTunes store RSS generator we quickly hacked together a grid to display icons for the top 300 paid for and the top 300 free apps.
